Artists

Dave Hollinden has composed extensively for percussion, and his music is widely performed in the US and overseas. He has a unique voice that speaks not only of his training in composition but of his background in rock music, affinity for rhythm and number, and thoughtful approach to life. His music appears on recordings by Equilibrium/Michael Udow (Border Crossing), Michael Burritt (Shadow Chasers) and the Ethos Percussion Group (Ethos).

Andrew Spencer has been performing Dave's music for the past eight years. He premiered Dusting the Connecting Link, Release, and Percussion Quartet No. 2, and has performed or coached the remainder of Dave's percussion works. Andrew is an active performer as a solo and orchestral percussionist, solo marimbist, and as a partner with his wife Mia in the duo Marimbasong. He has appeared as a soloist in the United States. Japan, Costa Rica and Canada, and is a Professor of Music at Central Washington University.

Aside from performing, Andrew's other passions include his family, fly-fishing, poker and roaring around in his MG. Andrew is a performing artist for the Yamaha Music Corporation of America and Sabian, Inc.
