Lizard Music and other Arias features the critically acclaimed cello and
guitar duo of Hamilton Cheifetz and Bryan Johanson. This recording features
new arrangements and original compositions by Johanson. Included are three
sonatas by the celebrated baroque composer Domenico Scarlatti; beautiful music
from French composers Eric Satie and Gabriel Faure; and five spicy
Hungarian-flavored miniatures by Bela Bartok. Also included are two new
compositions by Johanson. The title track, "Lizard Music", is music with a
free-ranging quality that pushes the duo into fresh new terrain.
